First Things reports that Mary Ann Glendon, Learned Hand Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, has declined the annual Laetare Medal from Notre Dame, which she was to have received this spring at the commencement ceremonies. Here’s her letter to the university president.

I think since this is an extremely moral question/position for the Bishops, they need to show some personal resolve, by promising to not use any medicine derived from stem Cells research.
Also preach to the faithful that they should refuse to accept from doctors any medicine derived from such. Then I’ll know they are really serious, by putting their own life and health on the line.
Determining what medicine was derived from Stem cell research is quite easy as there is a medical record of derivatives, and as the Jehovah Witnesses does with blood transfusions, the Catholic Church can do with Stem Cell treatment.
