That was awesome thanks Dr. Mooney. I am still trying to figure out how ABC knew Driscoll was preaching in the flesh? Did you catch that?

Mark Driscoll is something of a newfound hero of mine – in listening to his very in-depth sermons for a number of months, I have to say the constant string of “hipster,” “punk rock” labels ABC used to describe him seem a bit over the top. I respect the man and the ministry of Mars Hill immensely; the slant on this reporting tried to make him into another rock star pastor, which I don’t believe is why the church is booming. The raw message of the Gospel and an undiluted presentation of Christian worldview is grabbing people in the largely pre-Christian culture of Seattle. If Driscoll was just another rock star pastor, I doubt I would bother to listen to him.
It’s always interesting – and stomach-churning – when the mainstream media tries to make sense of the Jesus of the Bible, not the caricature they are more than comfortable with perpetuating.
“Pornifying the church?” Please. Whoever made that holier-than-thou comment needs to go read Song of Solomon and go have sex with his wife.
